Travelling light

It doesn't matter if you are hiking, packing to go abroad, camping, caravanning or motor-homing, you need to travel with a light load. Many buy a new motorhome or caravan to find that they only have a few hundred kilograms left to fit in all their water, fuel, clothes, food, tools and toys. One of the things camping teaches us is what we really need to live. In the end we need to stay warm (or cool) - have a safe place to eat and sleep and occasionally have a bath or shower. We started with a dual cab ute, a tent, cooker, esky and a few blow up beds. Later we went even smaller with a tent and kit of gear that we could fit into a suzuki swift with the back seats down. Now we drive a motorhome based on a Mitsubishi truck that is 5.5 metres long. Easy to park in a normal parking bay. Fuel is not cheap so whatever you drive pack light and go see this wonderful creation that we live in.
